Linens
One thing I’m not a fan of is laundry. A second thing I’m not a fan of is ironing. It is for these two reasons, linens are NOT included in your venue pricing at Black Sheep Weddings & Events. That being said, I did look into being able to offer them through a third party vendor at a reasonable cost, but what I found is that our Vendors We Love page has several linens & decor companies that can do it way more affordably. So I will refer you to them when it comes to linen rentals. However, don’t forget that most caterers also offer linens and can help you fulfill your linen needs as well.
If you need assistance with determining what size and how many linens you will need, we can definitely help assist you with that when we go over your reception seating layout to determine what you will exactly need. I always recommend adding an extra 1-3 linens for spares, just in case.
China
We originally were not going to offer a china package. But after several conversations with our Preferred Caterers, we realized not everyone offered their own and that it might be better for us to offer them as an Add-on, should you choose to want china vs disposable plates and silverware.
Our china package includes any of the following:
Dinner plate - 10 1/2”
Salad plate - 7 1/2”
Bread/Dessert plate - 6” (if used for dessert, dessert will need to be served immediately after dinner to allow catering staff to do timely clean-up)
Silverware set (includes two forks, knife and spoon)
Water Goblet - 16 0unce
Coffee cup & saucer (if you choose to have your caterer provide table coffee service)
The cost for our china is a flat rate of $4.50 per guest. Please note, your caterer is responsible for servicing the china, meaning they are responsible for setting, clearing, washing and returning it to our on-site storage room, so it’s important to have this conversation with your caterer so they are aware of the service they will need to provide. Our Preferred Caterers are all aware of us having china, so they just need to know if you’re choosing to rent it from us and they will let you know what they charge for servicing it. They can also recommend what will be needed based on your dinner selection. REMEMBER, WE DO NOT HAVE A CHINA REQUIREMENT, SO THIS PACKAGE IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL.
