Places to See & Things to Do
Lambeau Field - Stop in and be sure to check out the Titletown District of Lambeau Field. The Packers football team is one of the biggest draws to the Green Bay Area and you don’t want to miss out on an opportunity to take a tour or at least go to the ProShop to bring back some Green & Gold attire. The new Titletown District, just west of Lambeau Field is a fun way to spend the day if you have kids and they need to burn off some energy running around on the mini football field in the warmer months, or ice skating and sledding on Ariens Hill in the winter months.
Bay Beach Amusement Park - This local amusement park has been the second biggest attraction, to the Packers and Lambeau Field. Known for their $0.25 tickets and variety of park rides, you can’t miss taking advantage of this popular attraction. Overlooking the Bay of Green Bay, you can grab lunch or pack a picnic and let the kids have some fun riding the Zippin’ Pippin’ rollercoaster, Scrambler or taking a ride down the Big Slide, all without breaking the bank.
Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary - Right next door to Bay Beach Amusement Park is the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. With miles of hiking and skiing trails, live animal exhibits and various wildlife viewing opportunities, you will be sure to find something to entertain and educate you during your visit.
Heritage Hill State Park - Take a walk back in time at Heritage Hill. This State Park is devoted to the preservation of its buildings, artifacts and the interpretation of history, particularly its impact to Northeastern Wisconsin and its people. This interactive experience is one that will surely be enjoyed by all. During the summer months, check out their calendar for a variety of activities and events.
Places to eat and/or drink
White Dog - Located downtown on Green Bay’s west side, White Dog is a quaint little eatery that offers big tastes whether you’re there for breakfast, lunch or dinner. White Dog is an eclectic vibe that prides itself on supporting local artists by displaying their art on the walls throughout the restaurant and local musicians by having regular jam sessions weekly. So if you’re looking to enjoy some good food, a relaxed atmosphere and maybe some live music, check this place out. I highly recommend their breakfast…tastes great after a big wedding day.
Hinterland Brewing - Located in Green Bay’s Titletown District by Lambeau Field, Hinterland is one of Green Bay’s top local brewery. Their menu offers unique contemporary American cuisine with multicultural influences and a variety of hand-crafted beers that will appeal to everyone’s palate.
Noble Roots Brewing Company - Another local, family-owned brewery that offers a great variety of hand-crafted beers. Stop by their taproom and be sure to check out their Seasonal Offerings that are sure to highlight the area’s seasonal flavors. Get a growler to go! *Note: no food service, but during the warmer months, they will sometimes have food trucks in their parking lot.
Stillmank Brewing Co. - This local brewery is another favorite and of course, being in Wisconsin, we have to include another brewery. What is great about Stillmank, is that not only do they have a variety of hand-crafted beer, but they now have gotten into the hard seltzer business and they are good! With just a taproom (no food sold) you can check out more local brews and even take some home with you, as most of what they brew, is available in cans for you to purchase and take a piece of Wisconsin, Wisconsin beer home with you. :)
The Blitz Bar @ The Woods Golf Course - Located on the east side of Green Bay, not too far from Black Sheep, is another great little pub and grill that offers a nice variety of food and beverages to satisfy anyone’s appetite. Not only that, they offer private rooms for rehearsal dinners and/or showers. In the warmer months, you can catch a round of golf or just hang out on their patio that over looks the course.
